A new cold wave is likely to affect Karachi from March 9

Karachi: Another westerly system will enter the country on March 9 via Balochistan, which may extend to rural Sindh including Karachi.

According to the Meteorological Department, a new westerly system will also enter the country through Balochistan from today, but the entering system can only affect Balochistan in the form of winds and rain.

On the other hand, the wind speed from Quetta increased again in Karachi and is currently recording a speed of 25 kmph from the northeast direction.

The Meteorological Department says that the speed of winds blowing most of the day can increase to 40 km while the temperature is expected to drop due to gusty winds.

The current cold wave may persist till tomorrow, with a minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius recorded today.
