Peshawar: The second spell of rains and snowfall in the mountains has started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Meteorological Department, rains and snowfall are likely to continue intermittently till tomorrow night in different areas. Deep clouds and drizzle are continuing in the provincial capital since last day.
Due to rain, wind and snowfall, cold has returned to other plain areas of the province including Peshawar.
According to PDMA, a report has been issued to the district administration on the situation of rain and snow.
Meanwhile in Swat districts like Kalam, Malam Jabba, Nithia Gali, Chitral, Dir Upper are also receiving snowfall. The people of these areas are cut off from other areas due to snowfall. Traffic is also affected by snowfall in mountainous snowy areas and the hardships of the local people increase.
