The investigation of the attack on the Karachi Police Office intensified, more raids were conducted in search of the facilitators of the attackers.
According to the sources of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), the CTD took action near the Afghan settlement and detained 3 suspects and transferred them to an unknown location.
CTD sources have said that the operation was carried out on a tip-off at a specific house.
Anti-terrorism department sources have said that some mobile SIMs have also been recovered from the said detainees.
Sources said that 12 closed numbers out of 100 are being matched with sims in geofencing.
Sources also said that more than 100 numbers were identified as suspicious in the geo-fencing at the time of the attack, of which 10 to 12 numbers have been blocked since the attack.
It should be noted that all the terrorists were killed in the attack on the Karachi Police Head Office on the night of Friday, February 17.
During the retaliatory action of the law enforcers after the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office (KPO), 1 terrorist blew himself up on the fourth floor of the building using a suicide jacket while 2 were killed on the roof.
In the incident, 5 people including police and Rangers personnel were martyred while 17 were injured.
Apart from 2 policemen and 1 ranger personnel, 1 sanitary worker was also included in the martyred personnel in the attack.
