Independent members protested in the House wearing masks of founder PTI
Islamabad: In the opening session of the National Assembly, the newly elected members took oath, after the oath taking, slogans were raised again by the Sunni Ittehad Council.
According to the agenda of the inaugural session, at the beginning of the inaugural session, recitation of Holy Quran, Hamad Washana and National Anthem were read, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf administered oath to the newly elected members.
Nominated Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Deputy Speaker, Asif Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other members signed the roll members.
PML-N nominated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senator Ishaq Dar, Noor Alam Khan and other members reached the Parliament House. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz was also present in the guest gallery.
Independent members protested in the House wearing masks of founder PTI, independent candidates also brought PTI flags in the House. The PTI-supported members stood on the Speaker’s seat and chanted slogans in favor of the founder PTI.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has submitted nomination papers for Speaker National Assembly and Ghulam Mustafa Shah of People’s Party for Deputy Speaker National Assembly. The Secretary National Assembly received the nomination papers inside the House.
The nomination papers of Malik Amir Dogar for the Speaker of the National Assembly and Junaid Akbar Khan for the Deputy Speaker were submitted on behalf of the Sunni Ittehad Council.
Security has been tightened on the roads leading to the Parliament House. Serena Chowk, Nadra Chowk and D Chowk are closed for entering the red zone while Margalla Road is open for entering the red zone.
A heavy contingent of police and FC is deployed on the roads leading to the red zone, after thorough checking of the vehicles, entry into the red zone was allowed.
