Lahore: Another traffic warden earned a PhD while on duty.
According to Express News, another traffic warden completed his PhD degree while on duty. Traffic Warden Habib-ur-Rahman obtained his doctorate degree in South Asian Studies from Punjab University. Dr. Habibur Rehman wrote a research and critical paper on the title of “Pakistan China Relations”.
CTO Lahore Amara Athar congratulated Dr. Habibur Rehman and announced the certificate of appreciation.
He said on his job as a traffic warden Ph.D that ‘the salutation of the nation to such workers’, it is commendable for the wardens to continue their education despite the limited resources and hard work.
CTO Lahore Amara Athar said that out of 31 hundred wardens, 150 wardens are MPhil degree holders while 10 wardens are doctorate degree holders, 80 percent of wardens have master’s degrees in different subjects, city traffic police is the best in education in Pakistan. There is an advantage over forces, traffic wardens have degrees in forensic science, molecular biology, English literature, traffic wardens have done MPhil in law, economics, mathematics, criminology, international relations.
Wardens with MPhil degree are being given an allowance of five thousand rupees per month, additional allowance of Rs.
