Peshawar: A policeman was martyred by gunmen in the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the details, during the search operation on Tela Band road in Badh Bir area of Peshawar, armed persons opened fire on the Additional SHO and other police party.
The officials also retaliated on the firing of the armed men, on which both sides exchanged fire.
According to the police, an officer was martyred in the firing of the terrorists. His body has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
The martyred officer has been identified as Constable Tauseef.
After the incident, a heavy police force reached the spot and started a search operation to arrest the terrorists after collecting the evidence.
