Karachi: A young man who was accompanying a procession in Baldia Town was killed by an accidental bullet from his own pistol.
SHO Baldia Town Faisal Rafiq said that a young man died due to accidental firing in Jam Nagar area of Baldia Town and the body is being shifted to Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
The SHO said that the deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Ikram, the deceased had come along with his other friends in a procession from Bhines Colony and the pistol was tucked in the waist of his shalwar and was loaded.
He said that the young man was getting down from the car when a shot was fired from a pistol, as a result of which he was seriously injured and succumbed to his injuries and the police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported.
SHO Baldiya Town said that the police collected the evidence from the spot and after taking legal action, the body of the youth was handed over to the family members.
