Karachi: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thunder in Karachi on Saturday and Sunday.
According to the Meteorological Department, a western system has entered the country through Balochistan, resulting in light and heavy drizzle in different areas of Karachi on Friday morning.
According to the forecast of the Early Warning Center of the Meteorological Department, the western wave remains over Balochistan, due to which there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in Karachi on February 3 and 4, moderate and light rains may also occur in different districts of rural Sindh.
According to Chief Meteorologist Karachi Sardar Sarfaraz, rain may start in the city between afternoon and evening on Saturday, during which there may be light and medium rains.
He says that the perception of unusual rains under the current system is not correct. According to Sardar Sarfraz, the above-mentioned system will move towards the upper regions of the country by Sunday afternoon, however, a new cold wave is also expected in the city after February 5, during which the night temperature may drop to 13 degrees.
He further said that the cold winds behind the western system will affect various districts of Balochistan and rural Sindh including Karachi due to which the cold will increase.
