Appeal to Supreme Court for permission of Imran Khan to contest elections

Islamabad: Just 8 days before the general elections, PTI founder Imran Khan approached the Supreme Court for permission to contest the elections.

Appeals were filed by PTI founders in the Supreme Court challenging the rejection of nomination papers from NA-89 and NA-122.

Taking the position in the petition that the punishment given to him was not given on any moral basis and it is wrong to disqualify him from participating in the elections on this basis, the decision of January 16 of the Lahore High Court should be annulled.

It was requested that the nomination papers of the petitioner from Constituency 89 of the National Assembly be accepted, allowed to participate in the elections and allotted election symbols.
