During the caretaker government of Sindh, there has been a case of hundreds of illegal promotions in the school education department on the basis of nepotism and alleged bribery, which was stopped due to numerous complaints and violations of rules and regulations in the previous government. was sent.

However, now on the recommendation of the same scrutiny committee, the employees of the Directorate of Schools Primary and Directorate of Schools Secondary Karachi under the Department of School Education have been promoted to Grade 11. In which the officers of the department themselves have come forward against the illegal promotions, after which the matter has become highly controversial.

These officers have claimed in their letters to the school education department that the rights of senior employees have been largely violated by ignoring seniority at the stage of promotions and the codal formalities for the promotions of the employees who have been promoted have not been fulfilled and neither have the authorized officers. Khalid Zahoor, another employee of 93, who was appointed in the directorate, which was deprived of further development, said that since 93, I had been working in the same grade for the first time. There is only hope.

“Express” has learned that on January 5, the Department of School Education has issued a notification for the promotion of 397 non-teaching staff in Karachi from Grade 1 to 4. After which he has been promoted to Junior Clerk cum Typist in Grade 11.

It is worth mentioning that according to the documents received by “Express” in this regard, in the last days of the former provincial government of the People’s Party, these developments were stopped through a notification on the instructions of the then Secretary School Education Ghulam Akbar Leghari.

In this regard, the recommendations of the DPC were rejected by saying that the names of most of the employees whose names have come up for promotions by the DPC are not mentioned in the seniority list, while the ratio of promotions for promotions is “recruitment”. Rolls” is the opposite.

MS office and typing certificates of cases with promotions are not available, employees who are absent or whose salaries have been withheld by the department have also been cleared for promotions, while there are also many employees whose length of service is not complete.

It should be noted that this letter was issued by the School Education Department on July 12 last year. When “Express” contacted the Director of School Education Karachi (Primary and Secondary) Yar Muhammad Bilidi on this situation, he confirmed the promotions against them and said that it is a group which has done this work in the name of Scrutiny Committee.

He said that the 1987 recruit was released and the 2017 one was promoted, these employees work under me but I was not informed about the promotion, including one of our officers, Jabbar Dave, Imran Solangi and the secretariat. It has been learned that after the promotions of these employees, the situation in the directorate has become so serious that many District Education Officers (DEOs) have written a letter protesting the matter and have even recommended the department to cancel these promotions immediately.

In the letter written by DEO Central Musharraf Ali Rajput to the Director of School Education, Karachi Kolkhey, it has been revealed that there have been serious violations of the rules in Grade 4 promotions in Karachi and due to these violations, the employees of the department who have been denied their promotions for a long time. They were waiting for and are now very close to retirement, they are very disappointed and anxious.

These are the employees who have been deprived of promotions due to non-motivation. The letter further revealed that among the promoted employees, there are 108 District Central employees who do not meet the prevailing promotion rules, depriving the employees recruited in the 70s, 80s and 90s of promotions in 2009, 10, 11, 12 and 2017, 18. Promotions have been given to the employees recruited in 19, in this regard the DEOs have not been asked for the vacant position so these promotions should be cancelled.
