The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 will begin on February 17 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
The first match of the event will be between the defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United, both teams have won the title twice.
The most popular event among the fans will be played in 4 cities Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi. The final of the six-team PSL will be held on March 18 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
In this 34-match T20 tournament, Karachi will host 11 matches, including qualifiers, two eliminators and the final.
Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium will host 9 matches each, while fans in Multan will be able to watch 5 matches.
The tournament will have 7 double headers, Pindi Cricket Stadium will host 5 double header matches.
The match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings will be held on 24th February and 9th March, Gaddafi Stadium will host on 24th February while both teams will face each other at National Bank Stadium on 9th March.
Kings, Qalandars, Sultans and United will play 5 matches at their home ground, while Peshawar Zalmi will play 4 matches at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Quetta Gladiators will play 3, 3 matches at Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi, while one match will be played at Multan Cricket Stadium. The home side will play against the Sultans on February.
Like the previous edition, the 9th edition of PSL will also be held in 2 phases, with Multan Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium Lahore hosting 14 matches from February 17 to 27, followed by cricket action at Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi and Karachi in Karachi. will move to the National Bank Stadium, where 20 matches will be played from February 28 to March 18.
PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf says that we are happy to announce that the ninth edition of Pakistan Super League is going to start from February 17.
He further said that the event will showcase the beauty of T20 cricket in 4 cities, the decision to host the event in these cities is proof of our commitment to offer the highest level of cricket to the fans across the country.
The PCB Management Committee Chairman also said that we believe that hosting matches in these cities not only increases the enthusiasm of the fans but also promotes cricket at the grassroots level.
