Islamabad: Supreme Court Judge Justice Mazahar Akbar Naqvi wrote an open letter to the Chief Justice and Supreme Court judges against the proceedings in the Supreme Judicial Council.
In his letter, Justice Mazahir Akbar Naqvi wrote that Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood wrote letters to the former Chief Justice to take action against me, I am not performing duties for anyone except the Supreme Court and the people of Pakistan. .
In the letter, the Supreme Court judge said, “I am suffering the consequences for refusing to play into the hands of Pakistan’s political elite. I will fight the action of the Supreme Judicial Council to the end.” This is not about me but about the dignity of the Supreme Court.
He wrote that the letter written by the registrar of Justice Ijazul Ahsan to the Supreme Court shows how the practice and procedure law is being violated and the three-member committee meeting has decided to form benches on the basis of seniority.
Justice Mazahir Naqvi raised the question in the letter that why Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa constituted this bench on this occasion, judges should decide for themselves.
