Karachi: Three people were killed in a firing incident near the office of a political party in Machhar Colony area of Shahr Quaid.
According to details, firing took place near the election office of MQM in Machar Colony, in which three people were killed on the spot while one was injured.
The deceased persons were shifted to the Civil Hospital for legal proceedings, while the accused who opened fire has been arrested after collecting evidence from the incident.
On the other hand, SSP Kemadi said that the shooting happened due to a land dispute, there was a dispute between the arrested accused and the deceased.

He said that there was an armed clash between two groups over a land dispute and there was no political party office at the site of the incident. The search for other accused involved in the incident is on. One of the victims was identified as Rais.
On the other hand, IG Sindh took notice of the incident of death of three persons in the firing and asked for a report from the SSP while directing to arrest the accused soon and bring them to book under the law.
The spokesperson of MQM denied the claim of the police and said that firing was done at our election office when the candidates of the National and Provincial Assembly were visiting the camp and that the armed men of PPP are involved in this incident.
Senior Deputy Convener of MQM Pakistan Anees Qaim Khani said that the terrorists of People’s Party led by local officials fired on the unsuspecting workers, MQM candidates Humayun, Usman and Malik Fayyaz were engaged in election campaign along with the workers.
