Abrar Ahmed ruled out of first Test against Australia

Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed has been ruled out of the first Test match against Australia.

The first Test match between Pakistan and Australia will start from December 14 in Perth.

Abrar Ahmed complained of severe pain near his right knee during the four-day match against Prime Minister XI and had to leave the field.

He was examined by the medical team after which an MRI scan was conducted on the same day.

Abrar Ahmed has not yet been ruled out of the Test series but keeping his condition in mind, his availability will be further determined before the second Test.

Meanwhile, Chief Selector Wahab Riaz has approved the name of off-spinner Sajid Khan on the request of the team management, who will leave for Perth after completing the travel document.
