The teams of Peshawar, Lahore Whites and Abbottabad won their respective matches in the Super Eight stage of the National T20 Cup going on at various grounds in Karachi.
In the match played at the National Bank Stadium, Peshawar defeated FATA by 6 wickets, FATA scored 180 runs for 3 wickets while batting first.
Rehan Afridi’s 90 runs and Kashif Noor’s 32 runs went in vain as Peshawar achieved the target in the last over with the brilliant batting of Sahibzada Farhan and Iftikhar Ahmed.
Sahibzada Farhan scored 74 off 40 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 7 fours and Iftikhar Ahmed scored 45 runs off 29 balls with 3 sixes and 2 fours.
In another match, Lahore Whites defeated Sialkot by 30 runs thanks to Muhammad Faiq’s unbeaten 110 runs.
Lahore scored 189 runs for the loss of 2 wickets, the Sialkot team failed to achieve the target and were dismissed for 159 runs in the 19th over, Shoaib Malik’s 64 runs did not help the team either.
In the match at NBP Sports Complex, Abbottabad scored 171 runs for 6 wickets against Lahore Blues.
Abbottabad achieved the target in the last over thanks to Kamran Ghulam’s 69 and Sajjad Ali’s 60 runs and defeated the opponent by 3 wickets.
