Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has formally given permission to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the alleged audio leak of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi.
According to the sources, the FIA has started a formal investigation into the leaked audio as soon as permission is given.
According to FIA sources, the investigation agency has decided to conduct forensics of the alleged audio leak, so the alleged audio will be sent to Lahore for forensics.
According to sources, after the forensic report of the audio, the investigation will enter the next phase, the report will be provided to the Ministry of Home Affairs, if the audio is genuine, a case will be registered.
