Two children were burnt in the nursery of Children’s Hospital in Lahore.
The parents alleged that one of the children’s condition worsened due to burns, after the hospital staff had given the child too much heat in the nursery.
Medical director Professor Salim says that an inquiry committee has been formed after the child’s burn incident.
He said that a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Professor Javed Iqbal. The committee also includes biomedical engineers.
Professor Salim said that special attention is being paid to the treatment of children who have suffered burns.
According to the hospital sources, the condition of one of the burnt children is critical, the newborn girl was being treated in the hospital due to jaundice.
