Lahore: Another scam of illegal kidney transplants has come to light in Lahore, a kidney extraction gang was caught under the pretense of employment, which removed the kidneys of at least 90 people and sold each kidney for between Rs 25 to 25 lakhs.
According to Express News, there are many gangs active in Lahore, now another new gang has been caught, which has taken out kidneys and sold them for crores of rupees.
SP president Sidra Khan has said that the group extracted the kidneys of ninety people from Lahore, the accused used to take the citizens to Islamabad under the pretense of employment, illegal transplantation was done in a farm house in Islamabad. Efforts are on to arrest the involved doctors.
The SP president further said that the target of the accused are poor and unskilled workers, four accused of the group have been arrested and efforts are on to arrest other accused. A kidney used to be sold for 25 to 50 lakhs in which the doctor did not directly contact the donor.
