Special Secretary Health Syed Waqar Al Hasan says that the Federal Ministry of Health received 52% less funds from the government this year, without increasing the budget, raids on hospitals and health centers will not improve.
Syed Waqar-ul-Hassan has said in his statement in the Senate Standing Committee that only 23 billion rupees were received for the demand of 48 billion rupees.
He said that federal hospitals received 11 billion rupees less than required, the current health budget only covers salaries and essential expenses.
Special Secretary Health said that along with roads and bridges, the budget for health and education also needs to be increased.
After listening to the statement of Syed Waqarul Hassan, Senator Dilawar Khan said that till date no officer of the Ministry of Health has pointed out the problems in this way.
He assured and said that he will raise the voice to increase the health budget for the Ministry of Health.
