A British university has refused to host British-Pakistani ex-boxer Amir Khan, who collected donations for Gaza, and to hold a charity program at the university.

On photo and video sharing platform Instagram, boxer Aamir Khan shared a screenshot of the email he received.

The email shared in the above post shows that the university has canceled the fundraising program for being anti-Semitic.

The email states that he has come to know through the British newspaper Jewish Chronicle (JC) that an event of yours is being held on December 16 at Queen Mary University London on the theme of ‘An Ewing Wood Aamir Khan’. .

We learned that you signed a statement just 2 days after the recent attack on Israel by Hamas, defending the right of Palestinians to carry out armed resistance against Israel, the email added. And the Hamas action was refused to be recognized as a terrorist act.

The narrative called for the release of Palestinian prisoners and described Israel as a colonial state that is committing genocide.

It should be noted that Aamir Khan was nominated as the main speaker along with Imam Asim Khan of Redbridge Islamic Center and others in the fundraising program to be held at Queen Mary University of London on December 16 next month.

According to Aamir Khan, all these tactics are being done to defame him.

The former boxer has reiterated his commitment to continue supporting Palestine.
