Pakistani cricketers Sahib Maqsood and Aamir Yameen have accused the Sindh Police of accepting bribes.
Sohaib Maqsood wrote on social media that we are very lucky that we live in Punjab and not in Sindh, for the first time in our life we traveled from Karachi to Multan by road.
He wrote that the Sindh police is so corrupt that after 50 km they stop you and ask for money and if you don’t pay, they threaten to take you to the police station.
Sohaib Maqsood wrote that corruption is on the rise in Sindh Police, we told the police that we are cricketers and are going back to Multan after playing a match in Karachi, yet they took 8 thousand rupees from us.
Cricketer Amir Yameen has also confirmed about this incident on social media.
According to reports, Aamir Yameen and Sohaib Maqsood were stopped in the confines of Skarund Police Station.
On the other hand, IG Sindh Rifat Raja has taken notice of cricketer Aamir Yameen’s tweet.
According to the spokesperson, DIG Shaheed Benazirabad has been ordered to investigate immediately.
IG Sindh has said that strict action should be taken against the officials involved in the incident.
It should be noted that Sahib Maqsood and Aamir Yameen were representing Multan region in the National T20 Cup.
