Another person has been confirmed with Congo virus in Karachi this month. Two cases of Congo virus have been confirmed in the city this month.
Sindh Health Department spokesman confirmed another case of Congo virus in Karachi. According to the spokesman, the 55-year-old man suffering from Congo virus is a resident of Orangi Town, Tanuli Colony.
The spokesperson said that the person suffering from Congo virus was admitted to Jinnah Hospital two days ago. Various tests were done on the patient, after which the Congo virus test came positive today.
According to the spokesman, the condition of the patient is slightly better. The Health Department is in full contact with the Livestock Department. Tick control activity will be initiated in the affected house and adjoining area in collaboration with Livestock Department.
This is the second case of Congo from Karachi this month. Earlier, the victim had recovered after treatment.
