The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination has written a letter to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). In the letter, Chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf’s management committee has been informed about the issues.
The letter states that the notification for the extension of 3 months to the PCB Management Committee was issued on November 4, the committee should form the Board of Governors and conduct the election of the Chairman PCB as soon as possible.
The Management Committee shall look after day-to-day affairs and not make appointments to higher posts, this committee shall not be extended for more than 3 months.
The letter stated that the Federal Cabinet has entrusted the PCB Management Committee with the responsibility of electing the Chairman and forming the Board of Governors.
The letter said that there has been dissatisfaction with the management committee in the election of Chairman PCB and formation of the Board of Governors, try to fulfill their task using the resources and share the report with the Ministry.
Appointments to higher posts by the Management Committee will be considered abuse of authority, the Committee may prepare a weekly report to inform the Ministry about its actions.
