Most of the cities in India are considered among the most polluted cities in the world in the month of November, in these days they played with the health of the players by organizing an event like the World Cup.
According to the news agency, 20 of the 47 matches of the World Cup were played in extremely polluted environment, especially the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi was the most polluted.
England all-rounder Ben Stokes was seen using an inhaler before the match, with Root also criticizing India for playing matches in a polluted environment.
The match played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on November 6 in Delhi was played in the most substandard atmosphere. During this match, the pollution increased as the day went by.
According to Sri Lankan coach Hathura Singhe, some players were also having trouble breathing due to air pollution, due to which they did not even come to train.
Before the World Cup, the Indian board again came under severe criticism for repeatedly changing the schedule and holding matches in highly polluted environment.
