India continues to bat against New Zealand

India is batting against New Zealand in the first semi-final of the World Cup.

India won the toss and elected to bat first against New Zealand and captain Rohit Sharma opened the innings with Shubman Gill.

Both the batsmen gave the team an aggressive start and took the score to 71 runs in 8.2 overs after which India’s first wicket fell.

Captain Rohit Sharma was caught out by Tim Southee for 47 runs.

During his innings, Rohit Sharma also hit the record for most sixes in the World Cup.

Rohit Sharma hit 50th six against New Zealand to overtake former West Indies batsman Chris Gayle.

Speaking on the occasion of the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that he will try to score well, the New Zealand team is a team that performs consistently.

He said that there is hope that today’s match will be good, there is no change in the Indian team.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson said that we would have won the toss and batted first, we will also try to play good cricket, there is no change in our team.
