Pakistan Cricket Team Director Mickey Arthur has said that we have not played our best cricket, we have to improve the quality of our game.

While giving a press conference after the match against England in Calcutta, Mickey Arthur said that we have to score 300, 350 runs consistently in the batting.

He said that the teams that are scoring big are the ones that are successful. The coaches ask the players to score more than three hundred on the board in every match.

Talking about the bowling, Mickey Arthur said that Harris Roofe is not a new ball bowler, he bowls well with the old ball. If there was Naseem Shah, the bowling would have been better.

He said that if there was a breeze, Shaheen would have had a chance to attack. We will not make excuses for the lack of breeze, we did not play well. We didn’t play the way we needed to to reach the semi-finals.

Regarding the spin bowling, Mickey Arthur said that the lack of spin attack is disappointing. The role of spinners is important in our brand of cricket.

Regarding captain Babar Azam, he said that my full support is with Babar. He is young, still learning. We should give Babar Azam a chance, he will learn from his mistake.

Mickey Arthur continued his speech and said that making mistakes is not a crime, everyone does. Outside is always confident, we have to keep the team atmosphere right.

He said that continuity is very important for the improvement of the team. There must be continuity in the selection, there must be an environment in which the players can play freely.

He said that the four best teams of the tournament will play the semi-finals.

Talking about the schedule, Director of Pakistan Cricket said that our focus now is to plan for the Test series in Australia.

He said that I love Pakistan cricket, that’s why I accepted this post.
