In the 36th match of the World Cup, Australia set a target of 287 runs to win England.

In this match being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, England won the toss and invited Australia to bat first.

The Australian team batted first and scored 286 runs in the last over.

On behalf of Australia, Marence Labushin played an innings of 71 runs, Cameron Greene scored 47 runs, Steve Smith scored 44 runs, Marcus Stoins scored 35 runs, while Adam Zampa scored 29 runs in the closing moments to take the team to 286 runs.

Chris Woakes took 4 wickets for England. Mark Wood and Adil Rashid took two wickets each while David Vale and Liam Livingston took one wicket each.
