Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium has a special system ready to protect the match from rainwater.

According to the Chinnaswamy Stadium staff, the ‘sub-air system’ installed in the ground will not allow standing water in the field.

According to the staff, the sub-air system will start automatically as soon as the rain starts and the ground will be made playable within 15 to 20 minutes after the rain stops.

According to the ground staff, the pipes under this system can pump 10,000 liters of water in a minute. The sub-air system was installed in the Chinnaswamy Stadium in 2016.

It should be remembered that there is a forecast of rain in tomorrow’s match between Pakistan and New Zealand in the World Cup.
