With a dream in her eyes and a passion for cricket, Saira Jabeen from Kailash Valley came to Australia.
Saira Jabeen is among the 74 domestic cricketers of Pakistan who have recently been given domestic central contract for the first time by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
PCB’s domestic contract winner Saira Jabeen, 22, has signed a 6-month contract with the Parramatta Women’s Grade Cricket Club in Sydney, Australia. She has arrived in Australia on September 28, 2023.
Saira Jabeen, a woman cricketer from Kailash Valley, says that I have a good experience of grassroots cricket in Pakistan and now through Parramatta Cricket Club I will get experience of competitive cricket in Australia, hopefully this contract will improve my cricket. I will play an important role.
Saira Jabeen said that Mel Jones, the former captain of the Australian women’s cricket team, and Yahya Ghaznavi, a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), have helped me a lot in this journey.
Saira Jabeen also says that I want to set an example for all those women athletes who are dreaming but due to social pressure they are not able to fulfill their dreams.
