Lahore: A case was registered after suspending the former SHO along with officials for kidnapping a citizen and receiving a ransom of Rs 26 lakh.
According to Express News, SHO Asif and officials abducted the citizen Iqbal after complaining to the officers about filing a false case and collected a ransom of Rs 26 lakh from the citizen.
The plaintiff in the case said in his statement that citizen Iqbal is still abducted, despite the ransom of 26 lakh rupees, the citizen is still with them.
On the statement of the plaintiff’s case, the police named Inspector Asif Ali, Sub-Inspector Ali Salman, Waqas Ali, Constable Rizwan, Sajid Saleem and Tariq Nai in the case and the officers suspended them.
There are reports that even though a case has been registered, young Iqbal has not been recovered and the designated police officers have not been arrested. Police sources say that the Manga Mandi police are engaged in providing security instead of arresting their petty brothers.
