During the conversation, he wept remembering his first meeting with his first wife late Huma and the difficulties in life after her departure.
While answering a question, Wasim Ikram said that when he first met Huma, she was 18 years old and Wasim Akram was 20 years old.
They said that both started liking each other and got married after some time.
Wasim Akram said that Huma supported me in every good and bad time, I did not know about many matters of life, how to run a house, how to raise children, Huma used to manage all this alone, everything she did. was handled.
The former fast bowler said that after a long time I realized that I needed to change myself and by the time I realized that, Huma was gone from this world.
He said that he was out of the country for the championship, during which time my two sons, Taimur and Akbar, who were then about 9 and 7 years old respectively, and we had returned to Lahore from a holiday in Karachi, had bad throats. Got treated by the doctor, the son got better but Huma could not recover.
He said while being depressed that Huma’s condition worsened further, due to the lack of diagnosis of the disease, he wanted to be taken abroad, so he died in India on his way to Singapore.
Waseem Akram continued the conversation and said that when he brought Huma back home, the children did not understand what had happened, they were very young, after that initially there were difficulties in handling them, including family and friends. helped a lot but that time was very difficult.
