Lahore: The Punjab Food Authority failed to supply 10,000 liters of toxic milk made with detergent powder to the twin cities.
According to Punjab Food Authority officials, 10,000 liters of adulterated milk was destroyed by taking action against the adulteration mafia on Chakri Road in the early morning and a fine of Rs.
Officials said that 28 vehicles were checked during the blockade, out of which the milk samples in 2 vehicles were found to be defective. The milk was checked by modern lactoscan machine.
Officials of Punjab Food Authority inspected a total of 1 lakh 7 thousand liters of milk and after adulteration was proved, the dairy safety team destroyed 10 thousand liters of defective milk. Thousands of liters of adulterated milk was being supplied from Kot Momin Sargodha to Adiala Road Rawalpindi.
