The England Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the new central contracts of the players. The board offered central contracts to a total of 29 players.
ECB gave central contracts to 3 players for 3 years, 15 players for 2 years and 8 players for one year.
Harry Brook, Joe Root and Mark Wood were given 3-year contracts. 15 players including Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler were given 2 year contract.
8 players including Ben Stokes, James Anderson and Moeen Ali were given one year contracts.
England Cricket Board gave development contracts to 3 players.
7 players including Harry Brook were given central contracts for the first time, ECB gave multi-year contracts for the first time on the pattern of PCB.
It should be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board has also given central contracts to the players for 3 years.
