Lahore: Abductions of women and children in Punjab’s capital have been on the rise, with the police seemingly powerless to control it.
According to the police, 9 people have been kidnapped in Lahore, after which cases have been registered.
3 young siblings were abducted by unknown persons from Shirakot area. Noreen Bibi’s children, 11-year-old Anbrin, 8-year-old Imdad Ali and 5-year-old Haider Ali, were abducted from home by unknown persons. Besides, a woman along with 2 children were abducted from Chohang area. Ayman Bibi and her 2 children, 5-year-old Muzamil and 2-year-old Mah Jabeen, went to Lahore by bus from Chichawatani to Thokarniazbeg base, after which they went missing while the woman’s phone is also switched off.
A 13-year-old girl was kidnapped from Faisal Town area. According to the police, Nizam Din’s daughter Humira was abducted by unknown persons on her way to buy Sauda Salaf. Apart from this, a 12-year-old boy was abducted by unknown persons in Hanjarwal area. Muhammad Arshad Sagar’s 12-year-old nephew Akbar Ali was abducted on his way back from school.
According to the police, a 7-year-old girl was kidnapped from Kot Lakhpat area. Iftikhar Ali’s daughter Safia was playing outside with the children when unknown persons kidnapped her. The police have registered cases of all the incidents and started investigation, but so far none of the hostages could be recovered.
