Polio virus has been confirmed in the environmental samples of eleven districts of the country.
According to the federal authorities, the polio virus has been confirmed once again in the environmental samples of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh.
Polio virus was found in environmental samples from four different areas of Chaman Pishin in Balochistan and Bannu in Quetta, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and four in Peshawar.
Similarly, polio virus was also found in the environmental samples of Kemari and District Central of Karachi in Sindh and Gulshan Ravi of Lahore in Punjab.
In Pakistan, polio virus has been confirmed in 54 environmental samples so far, the fourth case of polio was reported in Karachi yesterday.
