A walk and bike rally was organized on the occasion of World Polio Day at Clifton Sea View area of Karachi.
The program was conducted under the Sindh Government’s Emergency Operation Center for Anti-Polio Program.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner South said that the number of polio cases in Pakistan this year has increased to 4. Citizens should give polio drops to their children on time.
Irshad Sodhar, Coordinator of Emergency Operation Sindh for Anti-Polio, said that while efforts are being made to eradicate polio, the fourth case has been found in a child in District East of Karachi.
Irshad Sudhar says that the affected child belongs to an Afghan family, illegal Afghan residents are also causing the spread of polio.
Speaking on this occasion, the participants said that very soon polio will be completely eradicated from the country.
