Polio virus has been confirmed once again in the environmental samples of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
According to the federal authorities, the polio virus has been confirmed in the sewage water of Peshawar’s Shaheen Muslim Town. Polio virus has been found in 13 environmental samples in Peshawar so far this year.
According to federal officials, the polio virus found in Peshawar is similar to the virus found in Afghanistan.
On the other hand, polio virus has also been confirmed in the environmental samples of Dera Bugti area of Balochistan province.
Federal officials say that polio virus was found in environmental samples in Pishin and Dera Bugti in Balochistan this year.
The polio virus found in Dera Bugti is similar to the polio virus from Kandahar Afghanistan.
Officials say that polio virus has been confirmed in 35 environmental samples in Pakistan so far.
