The recent arrest of Pervez Elahi was made under the law, Justice Mansoor
Islamabad: A hearing was held on Parvez Elahi’s bail application in the Supreme Court. His lawyer Latif Khosa said that Parvez Elahi gets bail in one case and gets caught in another.
Justice Sardar Tariq Masood said that in which law it is written that the accused should not be arrested in any case, the court in Islamabad issued such an order, whether the courts are giving license to the accused to commit crime, the decision would have been given. Now the arrest of the accused will be done with the permission of the court. If the accused is released on bail and kills two men, the police should not do anything. Should the police fold their hands in front of the accused and first take the court’s permission and then arrest him? Guaranteed.
Justice Sardar Tariq Masood said that I don’t understand how our high courts are giving bail, the cases are not being registered and the high court prevents arrests, this principle should be for the whole country and not for specific people.
Lawyer Latif Khosa said that this is also a joke, after the bail, they are arrested again in the second case, here is the law of the jungle, there are situations like Occupied Kashmir in our country.
Justice Sardar Tariq Masood said that this joke has been going on for seventy years, why did you remember today that it was a joke after seventy years, we remember all these things very late, don’t compare occupied Kashmir with Pakistan Indian army is occupying there.
Latif Khosa said that Parvez Elahi was picked up by people without clothes.
On this, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that Khosa Sahib said it was raised by people without uniform, the recent arrest of Parvaiz Elahi was done under the law.
Latif Khosa said that the Supreme Court had declared the arrest of Chairman PTI illegal.
Justice Sardar Tariq Masood smilingly remarked that you may have been referring to the judgment of the clock, in that case the clock was moved too far back, here now the clock is right, your case has become ineffective.
Latif Khosa said that if it becomes ineffective, get rid of it, this is the destiny of Pakistan.
Justice Musrat Hilali said that Pakistan’s destiny is not tied to the hands of a few people.
The court asked Pervez Elahi’s lawyer for support on two questions that whether the High Court can grant bail to a person in an unregistered case.
