Caretaker Health Minister Sindh Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz has expressed reservations about robotic surgery at Jinnah Hospital.
Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz says that robotic gallbladder surgery is a waste of money, one surgery costs around 1500 to 2000 dollars while normal surgery costs very less.
The Caretaker Health Minister said that this is a very wrong and expensive use of robotic surgery, trying to stop the waste of money.
The Sindh Health Department has stopped the purchase of robots, the cost of one robot can improve the condition of many hospitals.
