Punjab: 2 crore 12 lakh children will drink polio drops
Caretaker Health Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir has said regarding the polio campaign that anti-polio campaign is going on across Punjab, 2 crore 12 lakh children will be vaccinated in the province.
He has said that a healthy life is the basic right of every child, currently Pakistan and Afghanistan are facing the threat of polio.
Punjab Health Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir also says that 24,000 polio workers are participating in the current polio campaign.
Polio campaign in different cities of Punjab
Multan
During the 5-day anti-polio campaign in Multan, more than 10 lakh children will be vaccinated against polio virus till October 6.
Bahawalpur
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Bahawalpur, 8 lakh children will be given anti-polio shots in Bahawalpur from October 2 to 4.
Sargodha
According to the Health Department, the anti-polio campaign in Sargodha will continue till October 7, during which 663 thousand 793 children will be vaccinated.
Gujarat
4 lakh 96 thousand 555 children will be administered polio drops till October 4 during the 3-day polio campaign in the city of Gujarat, Punjab.
Zafarwal
During the anti-polio campaign, 3 lakh 65 thousand 198 children will be administered polio vaccine drops in Zafarwal.
Beggar
During the anti-polio campaign in Bhakkar, 3 lakh 54 thousand children will be vaccinated.
Hafizabad
More than 234,000 children will be vaccinated during the 5-day anti-polio campaign in Hafizabad.
