Lahore: FIA Immigration offloaded a group of beggars/human traffickers going to Saudi Arabia under the guise of Umrah while conducting operations at Multan Airport.
According to FIA spokesman, 8 passengers were going to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visa, during immigration it was found that the passengers were going to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visa to beg.
The off-loaded passengers belong to Lodhran district, 5 male and 3 female passengers.
During the investigation, the passengers revealed that they were going to Saudi Arabia for the purpose of begging with the connivance of the agents. The passengers were to be received by the Pakistani agents on arrival in Saudi Arabia.
The passengers further revealed that half of the begging money was to be handed over to the sub-agent and the passengers were to return to Pakistan after the Umrah visa period was over.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the passengers were shifted to FIA Composite Circle Multan for further investigation and legal action.
