Anti-polio campaign across Balochistan will start from tomorrow (Monday, October 2) for which all preparations have been completed.

He has said that during the 7-day anti-polio campaign, the target of 24 lakh 44 thousand children up to 5 years of age has been set to be given polio vaccine, during this campaign more than 10 thousand teams participated. including 8 thousand 589 mobile teams, 925 fixed sites and 547 transit points.
Syed Zahid Shah said that vitamin A drops will also be given to children during the campaign, the role of parents, scholars, political circles, tribal elders, administration and media is very important in the fight to defeat polio and get rid of it. , with the help of their positive thinking and attitudes the polio campaign can be successful.
He said that the eradication of polio has been ensured through this vaccine throughout the world, including Islamic countries, so there is no problem in vaccinating children during every campaign to prevent polio, but it increases the strength of children against the disease. Immunity develops.
Syed Zahid Shah has said that since January 27, 2021, no case of polio has been reported across the province, which is a great achievement and the credit goes to all the frontline polio workers who, despite all the difficulties, They knock on houses and administer polio drops to children.
He said that the last case in Balochistan was reported from Qil Abdullah district in January 2021, due to the large population movement from neighboring Afghanistan, after about two and a half years in the samples taken from the waste water drains of Pishin. The presence of the polio virus has been revealed, which is from Kandahar, so this campaign is very important to prevent the spread of the virus and protect children from it.
Syed Zahid Shah says that we are determined that we will not sit down from China until polio is eradicated from the province. Parents are requested to take immunization courses for children along with polio vaccine. Also must be completed so that they can avoid measles, pneumonia and other dangerous diseases including polio.
