No doubt Babar Azam is a great player, Zaka Ashraf

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Zaka Ashraf has said that there is no doubt that Babar Azam is a great player.

During an interview, Zaka Ashraf said that the warm-up match has just taken place in the World Cup 2023, the players are adjusting, the team will make a comeback, the World Cup is going on now, all our prayers are with the team.

He said that Mickey Arthur and his team were hired before I came, if the agreement with foreign coaches is not respected, the board is in disrepute.

Chairman PCB Management Committee added that Mickey Arthur has promised to be available throughout the World Cup and the tour of Australia.

He said that I will not talk about whether there will be a change after the World Cup or not, after the mega event the team will review the performance and then see what to do.

Zaka Ashraf also said that Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi are top players who are serving Pakistan, international teams have faced difficulties due to the glitter of league cricket.

He said that I did not decide the categories of the central contract, the decisions of cricket are made by the cricketers, the players have been given more money only because they prefer the Pakistan team.

Chairman PCB Management Committee said that if injustice is done to Sarfaraz Ahmed or any player, there will be redress, if any wrong decision has been made by anyone, then they will fix it.

He said that to stay in the A category, the player has to perform, otherwise he will be in the B category.

Zaka Ashraf further said that I have a relationship of respect with Inzamam-ul-Haq, some he believes in us and some we believe in him.

He said that after talking to big cricketers, they demand huge remuneration for working in PCB.

Chairman PCB Management Committee said that in 2012-13, BCCI Chairman Srinivasan was in favor of visiting Pakistan.

Zaka Ashraf said that Pakistan and India are two big cricket teams, there is no bigger match than the Pakistan-India competition.
