The security agencies recovered a huge amount of explosives and weapons in the operation
Peshawar: A large amount of explosives and weapons were recovered in Mohmand Agency, foiling a major terrorist plan.
The security agencies and the police foiled the big plan of destruction during the intelligence operation. The operation was conducted in the limits of Kandahari Police Station Safi in Mohmand district. From where one sub-machine gun, one number of cranks, 3 pistols, one number of Mini Glock 6 revolvers were recovered.
Among the weapons recovered are 7 Russian grenades, 49 mm grenade launcher, 3 twelve bore rifles. Night vision wireless sets, more than 7000 bullets, metal detector bundleware are also included in the operation.
Law enforcement agencies have arrested an accused and started investigation.
According to IG Akhtar Hayat Gandapur, the recovered weapons were to be used for destructive purposes. Precious lives were saved by the timely action of the police and security agencies. The police is alert and ready to protect the life and property of the people.
