Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the new central contract, the new central contract has increased the remuneration from 127 to 202 percent.
PCB says the central contracts will be from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2026. 25 players have been offered a central contract, the contract includes a share of ICC revenue, red ball and white ball contracts have been merged, this has been decided on the recommendation of the contract committee.
Category A includes Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi, Category B includes Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Imamul Haq, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah and Shadab Khan are also included in Category B.
All-rounders Imad Wasim and Abdullah Shafiq have been included in Category C, while Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali Iftikhar Ahmed, Ehsanullah and Mohammad Haris have been included in Category D.
Wasim Jr., Saeem Ayub, former captain Sarfraz Ahmed, Salman Agha, Saud Shakeel are also included in D category, Shahnawaz Durmani, Shan Masood, Usama Mir and Zaman Khan are also part of D category.
Test match fee has been increased by 50%, ODI fee by 25% and T20I fee by 12.5%, Central contract players will be allowed to play in 2 foreign leagues.
Central contracted players will get 50% international match fee for playing domestic cricket, the performance of the players will be reviewed every 12 months during the 3-year contract.
Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam, Nouman Ali and Abid Ali are among the cricketers who have been dropped from PCB’s central contract. has been done, while the emerging category has been eliminated.
