Lahore: FIA Immigration arrested Khawar Manika from the airport. He was going to Dubai by Emirates Airlines.
According to sources, Khawar Manika was stopped at the Allama Iqbal International Airport due to her name being included in the exit control list. A case has been registered against Khawar Manika on behalf of anti-corruption.
On the other hand, according to the spokesperson of Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab, Khawar Manika has been arrested on the charge of illegal construction on the government land. Khawar Farid is conducting an inquiry on the reference of Deputy Commissioner against Manika. The DC reference states that Khawar Manika constructed an illegal marriage hall on the graveyard site. Khawar Farid Manika also constructed 26 illegal shops on the graveyard land.
In the case filed against Khawar Farid Manika, it is alleged that the marriage hall was constructed on 4 kanals of graveyard land without approval/map. Khawar Fareed Manika has been illegally occupying the land of Pir Islam Graveyard Haveli Lakha for a long time. Khawar Farid was trying to escape Manika from the country. Anti-corruption foiled his attempt to flee the country and arrested him.
According to the spokesman, anti-corruption operations are ongoing indiscriminately against corrupt elements across Punjab.
