It has been revealed that the network of sellers of fake eye-sight injections extends from Rahim Yar Khan to Lahore.
A case has been registered in Lahore against 2 suspects who sold injections, one of the accused turned out to be a former employee of a large private cancer hospital in Lahore, who was fired from the hospital five years ago on the same charges.
The second accused was working in the dispensary of another private cancer hospital, the accused had come to know about the spread of infection from the injection two days before, on which he had disappeared the entire stock from the dispensary.
An illegal manufacturing unit was sealed by the Deputy Drug Controller in Model Town Lahore, but no accused could be brought to book till now.
Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to provide free treatment to the affected people.
