Former Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket Team Muhammad Wasim and former coach Saqlain Mushtaq have expressed their anger over the news of a fight between the players in the dressing room.
During a private TV show, Mohammad Wasim and Saqlain Mushtaq were questioned by the host about the news of a fight between the players in the dressing room after the defeat against Sri Lanka in the crucial match of the Asia Cup.
Muhammad Wasim while answering this question said that I don’t know how much truth is in these news, it is being talked about everywhere but it is very wrong to come out from the dressing room.
He said that during the last two to two-and-a-half years, we worked on it a lot, during which no one saw anything from the dressing room coming out, but earlier there was a trend of dressing before the end of the meeting. Things would start coming out of the room and tickers would start playing on the TV.
Mohammad Wasim, on the question about the cricketers bringing out the dressing room talk, without naming anyone, said that all such cricketers who were in the team are no longer in the team, but what happened now does not know how much truth there is in it.
He said that even if Babar Azam got angry, there is no harm in it because it is the captain’s right to express his anger, but the more details that are coming out that the players said that, he said that it is the fault of Pakistan cricket. It is not a good situation.
Muhammad Waseem said that the team management should divide the responsibilities and in view of this division, each person should do his own work.
He said that Babar Azam needs support for which head coach Mickey Arthur should come forward and the sports staff should plan together.
Muhammad Wasim said that now it seems that Babar Azam is alone, due to which his captaincy is affected, but he is not able to show the kind of performance that he should show in important matches.
On the other hand, former coach Saqlain Mushtaq ridiculed those who spread the news from the dressing room and said, “I salute whoever is giving these news, whether these news are true or false, you are doing a great job by spreading them. Team well-wishers, patriots, you must have a million followers.
He said that whenever a team loses a match, no one is sadder than the players and the sports staff. So I think it should be.
Saqlain Mushtaq said that before this, Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan have also been angry with the players.
He said that even if Babar Azam gets angry in the team meeting, it is his right because he is the captain and if Shaheen Afridi says something, he also has the right because he is a frontline bowler. I am angry.
Saqlain Mushtaq concluded his speech and said that if we as a nation only love the players, they will go to the top.
