The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has limited the number of players under central contract to play franchise cricket leagues.

Zaka Ashraf said that the national cricketers have been informed about the central contract, the players have also been informed about the number of leagues to be played.

He said that central contracts have been arranged keeping in mind the improvement of the players, the players’ contract compensation and match fee are being increased.

Chairman PCB continued his speech and said that the increase in remuneration has been done so that cricketers do not look elsewhere.

He said that the agents of the cricketers ask the cricketers to discuss various clauses, the central contract has been delayed due to various issues being discussed.

He said that A category players will be allowed to play only two leagues. Other than PSL leagues will be allowed due to workload.

Zaka Ashraf said that the players will not be able to play any league for two months before mega events and important series.
