Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association has appointed former captain Misbah-ul-Haq as the captain of the Pakistan Over 40 team for the Over 40 Cricket Global Cup to be held in Karachi.
According to Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association chief Fawad Ijaz Khan, veteran former captain Misbah-ul-Haq will lead the Pakistan team in the event starting from September 19.
Former Test cricketer and aggressive all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has been appointed as Misbah-ul-Haq’s deputy. Star cricketers Shahid Afridi, Hasan Raza and Muhammad Sami are also included in the announced Pakistan team for the event.
Fawad Ejaz further said that former fast bowler Jalaluddin has been appointed as the coach of the Pakistan team for the Over 40 Cricket Global Cup, while Azam Khan has been appointed as the manager.
In the event, Pakistan will start its campaign on September 19 with a match against USA.
